Parking Brake Wire and switch

Can someone please post a pic of how the parking brake wire should go into the switch mounted behind the brake lever? I accidently pulled the wire out of the switch while putting in new carpet and i am not sure how it should go back in. The dash is out of the car right now, so i can't figure it out by trial and error and it is really bugging me!

Thanks in advance!

I believe that backwards will turn the light off, or make the switch (less sensitive).

The way the switch works is that it simply brings that wire to ground when the handle is pulled. That lights that brake light and tells you that your parking brake is on.

When nothing is touching the switch, it will ground itself.

HTH,

Jay
