starting issue. . .

Recommended Posts

hot vs cold? If so, your starter may need some work. My '73 was a very slow starter when hot; finally tracked it down to a starter with (1) worn brushes and (2) a rear armature bushing which had come loose from its plastic sleeve and was spinning with the armature, adding a lot of drag to the motor.

If it's the latter: I did a column on a permanent repair for the loose rear armature bushing. Drop me an e-mail.
