Putting my tii up for sale...

http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1965528523.html

• It pains me to do this, but I have decided to sell my '74 tii

• I bought the car this Spring as a driver...but other things have come up

• Very clean shell

• The car pulls incredibly strong, and you will be blown away when you drive it

• Handles like a snake in a gopher hole!

• I would rate this car as a very nice driver...please don't expect a show car / garage queen.

• Clean Colorado title in hand

• Original odometer read 83,394 miles, but the cluster was going in and out. I replaced the cluster with a working one

• Original All #'s matching tii in Jade Green

• Dash shows signs of wear/cracks, but is all in one piece and tii clock is there and working well

• Car looks to have been re–sprayed at one point

• Car is 99.8% rust–free...spot on outer hood, typical inner hood, and two spots on passenger side lower door/fender (all in pics)

• I only have exterior pics right now, but will have interior/engine bay/chassis pics by tomorrow

• It has some very tasteful mods:

° Incredibly smooth 5–speed manual transmission from a 1981 320is with Ireland Engineering conversion kit...awesome upgrade

° Super comfy & supportive Recaro front seats re–upholstered in blue cloth with correct slider conversion

° Bilsteins/Eibach Springs

° Freshly recovered 320is steering wheel with working horn

° BBS 14X6" basketweave wheels (from e30)

° ProCar seats

° Rear battery relocation kit with new battery

° Shortened big bumper kit

° Kugelfischer system rebuilt ($2,000 alone), and the motor feels like it may have been rebuilt as well...however I cannot verify that the motor has

• Everything in this car works very well and is solid and tight

• It is a blast to drive, and cruises on the highway in fifth gear at high speeds with no problems…it is also great around town with amazing fuel economy

• All the mechanics, drivetrain, brakes, etc. are in excellent working order

• Please don't email with over–seas offers, lowballs or ridiculous trades…SPAMMERS WILL BE REPORTED!

• PLEASE...Absolutely no tire–kickers, time–wasters or joy–riders!

• Please email me through faqs with your phone# or email address, and I will respond the same day.

• Priced fairly at $6,900/OBRO

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
