Interior question. Color code and interior code combo..

Recommended Posts

My car is a '67 1600ti. The paint code is

Polaris Metalic 060.

What would be the appropriate color for the door panel and interior?

The FAQ does not have a reference to the "period correct" exterior color/interior code/combo.

multiple choice here:

a. All Black with Salt and Pepper carpet

b. Brown/Black with Brown seats and salt and pepper carpet

c. Blue/Black

d. Grey/Black

Any of the above would be with seats without headrests correct? Does it matter or is it all personal preference. Did BMW even keep track of which cars had which interior colors?

Thanks in advance for any responses recieved!

For that early vintage '02 that could have had the grey interior that was not available after say '69 or so....

With Polaris it would be possible to have...

-All black

-All blue

-Grey door panels and seats with salt and pepper carpet

Keep in mind that all color door panels have a black strip across the top. Also that a European car would have had cloth corduroy centers to the seats rather than the vinyl of the US. Vinyl was optional in Europe but not common.
