Need electrician in the haus for my 67 1600-2 n Melbourne FL

Recommended Posts

So the seats are in, the brakes brake, the car drives...in the daytime with my rusty Left Arm signals from the driver side window. Well, the car needs to breathe right?. Currently the car came with a push button AND toggle for starting the motor. Works fine. Which is FINE for anyone then. NOt very secure though. The harness is intact, just bypassed, and not in my realm of growing knowledge....except NO lights work. No power to fuse box (6), and I replaced with correct fuses. Any suggestions for equip, start point? Help? Could use some help from a local. Thanks. Richard

if you can drive it up north i can fix it for ya... ;)

seriously...if it where me, id remove all bypasses and not original wirings, even if the car becomes inop. Then i would look where it fails with a test light or multimeter...

it is always something very simple...look under the fuse box itself (lift it up !!)...

check for grounds, prongs under the relay and into plugs, corrosion here and there in the plugs,...make sure the fuses makes contact on their tabs (often there is corosion there and the current doesnt flow at all).

get a huge printout of the correct wiring diagram for your car and start to trace all wires. theses electrical systems are very very simple, they fail because they are just not very well understood imho.

We would still like to take a look at the car with Joe however with the electrical issue we have concern... those types of issues are just not in our bag of tricks to deal with. Its not a deal breaker but something we can not get into the expense of fixing. Please keep in contact with Joe. I'm sure we can find some time to come take a look.
