hubby steve and a friend started removing the bad nose on our 73 today and discovered that the nose has been replaced at some time...

the spot welds he was expecting are solid welds on the inner side from top to bottom...they cut away as much sheet metal as possible but are now trying to figure out how to get the 2 outside pieces off

any suggestions on how to do this, we don't have a torch..if we did, i'd be afraid someone would burn the car up not knowing how to use it

Yup, angle grinder.

pisser is, if they're continuous welds,

they're probably MIG, and those are a lot

harder than the sheetmetal, so use a sharp (new)

wheel or 4, and light pressure and lots of car.

And don't get it hot- if it starts to get hot, stop and

change to a new wheel. And use less pressure.
