Squishy Bosch alternator bushings

Anybody else have this problem?

Figured out (I think) that occasional TICK-TICK noise is a fan blade just barely nicking the alernator pully shaft. Alternator is only a year or so old and is a nice Bosch unit, not el cheapo from AutoZone., but bushings seem very squishy.

Fortunately, I found a set of urethane alternator bushings in my box 'o stuff and I'm hoping that'll solve it. Hope they fit as I think they are from a 2002 alternator and my current unit is e21.

bosch offers the tii alternator bushings. the support bushings (20 mm) are part number 1 120 323 001. less costly than directly from the bmw dealer.

WILLIE! HOMIE! ya beat me to it. yup. the tii bushings, 12 31 1 268 447(20mm) and 12 31 1 268 449(8mm) are the ones to get. and watch out, because some places will sell the red urethane bushings under the same number, but the white ones made by bosch are the best. bmw dealer pricing is pretty good on these, and you know you are getting the best ones.
