Anyone in FL up for a drive to the yalaha bakery-PICS INSIDE

Recommended Posts

By the way, It will be on fun back roads. Please confirm that you want to come on the 17th of October.

I hereby declare that I will be attending in the '02.

Does anyone want to start a caravan from the Cocoa Beach area? We can meet at the gas station (BP?) at the intersection of 528 and US 1.

I think so. I'm not completely sure, but I might already be in Orlando the night before. Ping me again later about this.

Went out to the Yalaha Bakery today with Mary in Lillie. We had a great time and saw some amazing roads and amazing food. Make sure you come hungry on the 17th they also have a Deli and you can buy fresh German bread! If you are bringing kids, they will have free pony rides for them. check out Mary Bare's Facebook for pics. Let's pray the temp stays down like it did today!

We are on..looks like a good crowd. Some of the usual suspects are out of town but this will not be the last time we do this. I drove our route this afternoon and will have a navigation sheet for each person. It looks like a 30 mile hilly, twisty run with a few straits in the middle. Remember, when you see the sign for Howie-in-the-Hills, That is redneck for slow the hell down or you go to jail and no one will ever see you again! come hungry! Please call 321-460-0837 if anyone has questions.

This was a great drive. The best you can get in FL at least. Thanks to Greg and Mary for setting this up. It was good seeing the Bare family and a few other new/old hats. I was having too much fun driving , but here are a few shots I took.

On my way over on 528

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
