Powered show and go Lic plate

Missouri law requires a license plate on the front of your car. No exceptions. My turbo other than wiring a plate to the grill does not have the ability to put one on it. This has been an on going discussion on the local BMW board. Someone with an M3 and Mini suggested using one of these. Has anyone every put on an 02?

will you remember to flip that switch each and every time you see a cop in the distance? what if you miss one?

why remember?!?

let 'em pull ya over.

flip the switch.

say, "what can I do ya for, sir?"

&

watch 'em walk up front, look-on & wonder.

who needs front plates? come on,- who's ever been chased from the front?

In my personal opinion they look really funny, Ive seen em on a couple E30's and they look odd sitting under the car.

the speed lasers used by police require a reflective surface ..the only way to guarantee that on every vehicle is to require a reflective license plate. learned that on a ride along a few years back.

Here in Socal, at least in the greater San Gabriel valley area, its not such a big deal, I mean the law is you need a front and rear plate, but i owned quite a few Hondas, and trucks, i only got sweated in my lowered hondas, and its a $20.00 fix a ticket.

I think if i was in my 1600 with no plate, they wouldnt sweat me, how ever, it is an excuse for them to pull you over.

just stick the plate on the dash. it is "visible" from the front.

that is what all the people in florida without insurance do. prevents cops from running check on a parkd car, finding the cheap ass owner canceled the insurance, and taking the plates off. if they are locked in the car, can't take'em

beware of any car you see with the plate on the back deck or dash..probably not insured.

In Arizona we're not req'd to have front plates, and the cops laser guns work just fine. Until a few weeks ago the State had unmanned radar vehicles on freeways all over the state. If they recorded your speed at more than 10mph over the posted speed they took a photo of the driver and one of the rear of the car for the plate. But over half of the people never paid the fines, so the state canceled their contract with the photo radar company and they went away.
