Body shop?

Can anyone recommend a good body shop (someone that will take more interest in restoration than simply a shop that handles insurance claims) in the SF bay area?

Probably too far but have you checked with Michael Dubois' Shop in Hollister?

Michael is very knowledgeable in '02s (in general) and he's painted a few '02s.

Hollister is a little far but getting quality work is more important than far.

I have to take a rain check, right now the shop is full - which is a blessing- after being slow for three months, we had to let go of one guy, so we are really lean and cannot take on more work.

I would recommend UACC in Burlingame. Not the cheapest but highly reputable and would do a great job. (650) 548-0954.

A really good shop is So. San Francisco I can recommend (especially when dealing with and insurance company) is Grace Body Shop. I think its on San Mateo Rd. They're really good. They have handled things for me in the past and they know what they're doing.

classic auto body in Berkely does great work. THey work on alot of Porsches and other high end cars.
