I have seen this car in person and it looks almost as good as it does in the photos.

It's original except an old respray (Not bad).

The price seems fair and i'm sure i could get it for less (Maybe $2500).

I don't know a lot about 2000's (More about 2002's)

Do you think that it's a good price?

P.S. The blinker is fixed now.

I did some research on that car when it was for sale a couple of owners back. According to Andres Harz, the original color was Tampico. Similar to Nevada a beige brown color. Not sure how gold or metallic the respray is. Look under the seats or carpet to compare the color. Looks like a complete original car otherwise. Wish the radio was in my NK.

That is the car we talked about 7 months ago.

The car was listed for $3500 and I believe the then owner reported here that he sold it for $2500.

FLASH FORWARD 2 weeks and it was offered at 9K!!!!!!!!

Was listed for the longest time at 7 thousand and last time I saw it , she was listed at 6 thousand. Now what is it 4000?

As far as the car itself, I must say the body looks to be all steel and very very straight, that should be the cars selling point more so than the machinery.

But do yourself a big favor eventhough the body looks great from the outside,

(a) take out the rear seats and look at both the mounting points for the rear subframe in the floor, and also check for rust holes in the front of the wheel well from the rear seat side. If the car is original as far as nut&bolts go you only need a small phillips screw driver.

Now go in the trunk and remove (if they are still there) the plastic trunk covers from both sides, they cover the rear shock towers and inspect for both rust and or cracks. NOTE! The plastic covers are realy only held on by the trim and are easy to remove.

Spend the twenty minutes to do this so you know what you have before you commit.

While it looks in photos to be solid at the front strut towers , look for cracks there more so than rust.

How good does the dash look in person? It has been recovered, note in close up photo of the Blue-point Frankfurt (quessing series X) that the vinyl that surrounds the radio is 100% correct, and note it does not match the dash cover. This is not a biggy but more wondering what does it look like 1st hand.

Safety things to check on that car.

(A) make certain that the master cyl. on that car does not leak, even a little bit, when the seals start to wear out they can go, without warning!

There is no warning light on that year and the fluid bottle does not hold enough brake fluid if the seal blows out. THEY CAN DRAIN OUT FAST!

(B) Check the lock strip in the windshield to make sure there is one in it.

As per original it should have alum trim, the later cars used that plastic crap, but in either case in these photos I do not see either one clearly.

Also note the the wiper arms are mounted on there wrong stalks, someone may have replaced the wind screen.

© The cars washer bottle, plumbing and spray nozzles are not mounted on the car, they are missing and you may want to correct if you buy it.

(D) The clutch pedal is not 2000 original, however the brake pedal is if you want to match them up. The one on clutch looks 320I-ish and may slip off?

Best of luck!

Went braindead in original post, if you do decide to take off the plastic shock tower covers bring with you both 13mm and 10mm wrenches for the trunk hinge and hinge stop.

The bolts pass through the plastic covers, then they are easy to get off.
