Anybody Ever Break A Quarter Window?

I have a mystery - my '72 tii has been parked with a dead engine for almost a year and this evening I went out to the garage and found tiny glass bits all over the floor and the rear seat. The right rear quarter glass was shattered. I've heard about how the door glass can break under certain circumstances, but haven't heard about the quarter glass doing that.

The stereo is still in there, it doesn't look tampered with at all.

Anyone got any ideas why this would happen? I'll be asking my 13-year-old the same thing.

That's a very lightly stressed piece of glass and about the only way I can imagine it shattering would be from a hard impact with a hard object. Not necessarily a deliberate thing. Something could have fallen against it of been propelled into it (by some mysterious force......maybe a two-legged "force"). At least it shouldn't be difficult to install a replacement.
