CENTER CONSOLE QUESTION

i have a late fridgikin in my 73. Does that make it more valuable. Because i dont want it in there, and can i remove it and put a diff cnter console in?

Yes, you can remove it and probably find a non-A/C console to install in its place.

I did this about 10 years ago, on a '74 Chamonix 2002 I had with Frigiking a/c. The console was pretty easy to remove, also removed all associated a/c parts as well but getting back to the console; when I replaced the console I noticed that the side pieces didn't completely cover the carpet, heard this from other folks as well, that had removed consoles with the frigiking a/c system. An option is to piece some in with the like carpet in the car.

Save the Frigiking A/C console if it's in good shape; I sold mine to someone on the board here after I took it out. I also sold some of the a/c parts ( not the york compressor though ); the fella went with a more "modern" compressor.
