Screwing with the brakes!

Well I finally got the clutch and brakes bled properly; however now the brake pedal goes to the floor to barely stop. The clutch is great.

So i figure the master brake cylinder is shot, looks to be the orignal one or at least very old. So one more thing to replace on Narlie.

I'm thinking to replace the drums and backing while I'm at it to be done with these brakes finally!

Damn when will I get to drop in the duel matched 40's TPIO? 18's the same they ran in the Alpinas.....next spring I figure because the wagon gets a respray and that car is already pissed at me to the point I had to jump a 1 1/2 year old BMW factory battery.

As Dr Smith used to say ; Oh the pain!

Hello,

What does your brake peddle feel like?

Soft and springy? Probably still air in your lines OR your brake hoses at the wheels need to be replaced.

Hard but slowly sinks to the floor? Then I would suspect the master cylinder.

Just a lot of travel and then hard? Adjust your rear brakes (affects pedal travel).

I'm sure others will suggest more for you to check out.

Good luck!

PS: Spent yesterday replacing e-brake cables in my TII so I sympathize.
