Key blanks

you can get them at most any old school locksmith . There are 2 types of keys. steel (oe) and a softer material which i dont know what its made out of. They are not as robust however. I have OE steel blanks for ignition and 2 styles of trunk locks. Otherwise someone had an online source for aftermarket keys and im sure a search would turn it up

I know this has been mentioned before and there is a good website for it, do a quick search and you should be able to find it. I'll run one real fast.

Edit: Heres a possible spot

They are also available at any dealership. There are probably cheaper venues, but the dealership has steel keys and they're not all that expensive - probably around $6. If you get one there ask them for a reference for a locksmith that can cut steel keys. Some shops don't want to cut them on their machines.

Maybe your local dealer is much more reasonable, I contacted mine about this less than a month ago, and they wanted $26 a pop for blanks, and they wouldn't cut them. I went to a locksmith and got 'em for $2.50 a piece. they're not steel, but get a few extras made and you won't have to worry about it

i know i am, i'm sure i am...

I had a neighbor that came up to me, said I used to have a 2002 like yours but I was cleaning out the garage and found these. He gave me two factory blank 02 keys that he had no use for. Sweet! I took them to my local lock smith and had them cut and they work great on my tii.
