BMW 2002 Rallye Cars

Heading out on vacation for a week or so, so no new posts for a while. Just posted up something on '73, '75 BMW 02 rallye cars, I have more detail but need the time to input (which I will do when I get back so that the Rallye car fans don't jump down my throat), also earlier this week posted (re-posted) some info on the "Warsteiner" GS Tuning DRM car from 1975.

Thanks, if you double click on the black and white pic of the Schnitzer engine, interior and trunk details, note the engine pic and how the radiator cap, water pipe expansion tank and oil cap are wire tired or chained I suppose due to the rough ride in rallying = great detail in that image if you take a minute to closely look at it.

I think they have a small chain on them so that if removed in haste, expecially when they're hot, they will not be dropped and lost, or end up underneath the car. There's too much slack in the chains for them to function as a "keeper".

Hey Mark... Are ya gonna be back in time to go to Monterey? There's gonna be a great Trans-Am 2.5 race with a few '02s.

Agree, they are not keepers (as in wire tied), probably if somehow they did get off they wouldn't be lost.....Tom, I am going to be back, going to try to make it down there, have never been before which given the relative close proximity is shameful. Seems like in the past our family vacation has fallen around those dates. I have been threatening my wife for years that I am going, this year if I can pull it off she will probably come along as well.
