That would be Carl Nelson's US Spec 1600 cabriolet, the only one in existence. It's an incredible car, now it's famous! Although the song and and video are a bit shallow, thanks to my least-favorite producer Dr. Luke.

my 1999 (year) 2002 (car) calendar that's up on my office wall--since 1999 uses the same calendar as 2010.

Got to drive Carl's car from LaJolla to Pasadena during 2004 Ofest. What a blast!

According to Carl, it was ordered by a US military officer from the factory. When he was checking off options he wanted, one of the options was "cabriolet." So he checked it, and got a US spec cabriolet with a US VIN! Wish I had thought of that!

Yep, Katy is a PK (preacher's kid) from Santa Barbara. Looks like the Video was shot at Goleta Beach and in the Santa Ynez Valley (SB area). Don't know if I would want all those kids sitting on my car.

I don't recall seeing a cabrio the last time I visited Carl's place. Then again, I was giddy from seeing a few 700's.
