Alternative door brake solution and door jam switches

I have been thinking about using other BMW or German spec door brakes to adopt to 2002s because I don't want to pay a ridiculous $150 each to BMW, WTF? So, I just ordered a MB door brake (p/n 1267200016) and E30 door brake (p/n 41511884163 ) from Autohaus of AZ. Dirt cheap. I will update this post when they arrive. I have seen MB parts selling over 100 bucks a pair on ebay and they are not even zinc plated? In my opinion, even $50/pair is way too much since the same part is available at about 16 bucks each and also comes with plastic cover. I believe E30 part can be used by re-driling, or using some sleeves that will fit in the hole already comes with the brake. Stay tuned.

P.S. Also check door jam switches from 320: passenger side p/n 61311368430 , driver side p/n 61311370805 , about 13 bucks both, hurry they are on sale at Autohaus AZ.

I got a set from Autohaus AZ for the rear doors of a 190E. They bolt right In but the second stop is about 1/2 in too far. I am thinking of drilling the straps on the set and puting a bolt at the point I'd like travel to stop. The first stop is fine for the o2. They were less than $40 for the pair.

I've done this already. You need to cut and weld the arms to the correct length (which takes some experimentation to figure out).

I sell mine with a metal sleeve and the correct sized stainless hardware to replace the flimsy original pin.
