Forced fresh air ventilation idea: June 1976 Roundel

I promised both Clay and Jason this scan from an old Roundel.

Very creative, but you would have to keep the vents closed while raining.

Wonder if this owner eventually added a panel type filter to the cowl?

Ha! Functional for a fair weather friend.. A simple sheet metal shroud would control airflow and maybe help to prevent water from entering. Better than the hot air I get now!

I would split it to the defroster vents as well.. and maybe only one inlet.

2002 newbie, and dead serious about it.

I really like it! I've been considering something like this since it is very similar to what is on my MG. It is really nice to have fresh air blowing on you without the noise of the open windows.

Actually, if you pull from the same plenum as the heater, you

won't get any more fumes than the usual- that's supposed to be

sealed from the engine.

And as it's drawing air from the base of the windshield, it'll flow pretty well.

But yeah, when it's hot enough to need more air, the air's too hot to do any good!
