FS: New seat belts HI QUALITY

Recommended Posts

I have a new set of seat belts (only one set available at this time) I made using all hi-quality parts. New retractors are distributed by Autoliv (of Sweden) aftermarket and made after a patented Britt-German design (Britax-Kolb) of late 80s/early 90s, a design that were also used in some E30 coupes, smooth operators. Asking $250 plus shipping or $220 in exchange of your old belts (must be in usable condition especially the buckles, don't send pos rusty shit to me please). Checks are OK, paypal works (add 4%). These will work in early and late model cars, cabrios and tourings (only tourings that came with B-pillar anchors, contact if you have an early touring). Heck, I can even make them fit and work in a NK 1800-2000 model with some L brackets and my little ingenuity. For early cars and cabrios utilizing rear quarter panel anchors, I will add plastic covers over the retractors to be installed under the rear seat (no-welding instructions are available). Your call. Questions? I do have an email button.

ps. AVAILABLE ONLY TO VERIFIED FAQ MEMBERS W/ CONTACT INFO.

good price, when the time is right I will probably pick up a set of these, are these set up for the sensor for the fasten seat belt light?

No censors. No one currently sells buckles with censors, unless there is a demand that I can an order directly from Autoliv or TRW, min 1000 units, for the price to be competitive. I do have some new buckles w/ censors that will work with these belts but they are short about 6", need longer extension brackets unless the buckles are bolted on the seat frame (like E30/E21 Recaros) or on the tranny about 5-6" forward than the current mounting anchors. Another option is to buy from BMW the E30 or similar 5-series buckles with censors, and use 6" extension brackets as the E30 buckles are also 6" short for a 2002. BMW price is about 60 bucks each on the E30 buckles with censors. Or, buy NOS 40 years old 2002 belts from BMW at $600/pair which comes with censors. Why do you care about the censors anyway? everybody I know remove them as they are part of the ancient seat/seat belt warning system. Euro models never came with any of that shit. If I am correct, you also need to make sure that switches under the seats are also working as they are part of the warning network, too much headache for me. If you buy new buckles with censors and send to me, I can incorporate them to new seat belts. If I buy them from BMW and re-sell them, I would have to mark them up which would not be cost effective for 02 community.
