So....did my car burp?

OK, my buddy Paul told me when I first got this 02 that when you drain the radiator etc you have to burp them when you refill it. Well you know, I used my small jack and would jack the car up a little...nothing every happened. As the weather warmed up my car just did not have the power it used to and the idle was always off a little when warmed up. It has also always had the temp guage near the middle.

So the other day I visit my other buddy Brad Fenn. He jacked the car way up to do a bit of work. The rear bumper was almost on the ground. After he was done I took off. All he did was free up a very overtightened oil drain plug. Did not touch the engine. Well the car ran incredible. Best it has ever run. Ran so good got a speeding ticket. The car has tons of pep when warmed up and it runs much cooler, guage stays at about 1/3 in 100 degree stop and go. When I got home I had to add almost 4 cups of anti-freeze.

So was this the burp Paul was talking about. And, just out of curiosity where does this elusive air bubble reside in the engine until burped?

I'm not as dumb as I look
