Me and my Geee-bo...

I totally desmogged my running o2, the '76. Got the Weber tuned pretty well and took it to ATL for a drive. It had never run better, smooth as butter. That is until I was passing the AL welcome center on the way back on I-20. I got a rattle, rattle, WHUMP from the shifter. I backed off from 75 mph to 60 and took the slower route home. But it was just driving great; even better after that little hickup. Well, I parked the car cause I knew what it was, and you do too.

I just jacked up the car and removed the shredded guibo. Not a bad operation but as I'm there I'm seeing all of this other stuff I could (should?) do. Since I've dropped over a grand in parts for the project car, I'm not taking anymore projects so I ordered the flex disc from Blunt and left it at that. I think I've known that disc has been going for a while...little vibrations and rattles that would come and go from the tranny area. I so hope this fixes all of that and the daily driver stays reliable...I was just getting some headway made on the project car.

looks like an automatic guibo...

i bought mine at autopartsonlinecanada.com for like 90$.

fyi, one from a early E46 with the GM transmission has a guibo that fits there as well. Tried and proven on my own car.
