Sunroof Seal question. . .

Hey folks,

I'm putting my car back together and have forgotten exactly how far the front sunroof seal goes around the opening.

Does it really go 20mm (about an inch) past the opening as suggested by: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/topic_view,threads/p,342623/t,278446/ ??

IIRC the rear seal is glued to the sunroof, not the opening, so the link at: http://www.my2002tii.com/spring_2005/sunroof.htm is incorrect, right ??

I've looked for a FAQ, but one does not seem to exist.

Front seal is longer than rear. It attaches to the roof and goes most of the way to the rear then angles down slight to go under. The rear seal is attached to the sliding part and extends only about 1-2 toward the front.
