Heated seats for a 2002?

Does anyone know if 2002 ever came with original heated seats? I was trying to remove the front seats from a 72 the other day and noticed there was an electricat connection attacched to the seat-odd.

No heated seats in the 02's. You're sure you have the original seats ?

Could be the wiring for the feature that used to be mandatory where you couldn't start the car until the seat belts were buckled (seat belt interlock system?).

I am one hundred percent positive the seats are original to the car or at least original 2002 seats. Was attempting to remove the passengers seat and noticed the connection-wiring leads into bodyof car-Was not aware that there was a mandatory seat belt law in 72

The seat belt interlock was in untill 74 when enough people complained to congress to have it eliminated. G

What does that mean? I cant use seats from a 74-76 on a 72?-Doesa 72 require secial seat belts etc.?

it all swaps this one to that one, etc.
