engine and drivetrain Emissions system question

There's a small hose running from the small plastic tank in the trunk to the engine compartment. Originally, I think it ran to a charcoal cannister which is no longer there. What do I do with that front end of the hose?

REMOVE the charcoal canister - chuck into the neighbors pool

route the hose down to frame rail

or route the hose exiting the bottle in the trunk

down out of the trunk with a new hole and gromet

diagram of the 'euro' vent pipe and gromet

which exit the trunk at the rear - between the spare and tank-

or anywhere you want to drill a hole for the pipe
