how hard should it be to get the trim in position?

i'm thinking on my son's car, because it needed to be painted twice (long story) that the build-up of paint on the rian gutter is enough to be causing me problems

I find the SITE SEARCH is better than the FORUM SEARCH. The site search may be the Google thing

Man I wish I did have a link. When I installed mine I started at the front bottom and worked back. You can just kind of catch it on the lip. Don't push it all the way tight at first, just clip the top edge in. Once that in you can go back and actually pull down on it with your fingers while pressing in on the bottm. This will lock it in place

It's just easier to say the search function sucks than ACTUALLY USE IT TO FIND WHAT YOU NEED.
