August 28th 2022 was the Boston BMW CCA Concours d'Elegance at Prowse Farm in Canton MA.

I spent most of Saturday cleaning & detailing Vern. It was the first real detailing since returning from Germany last October. Did all the "heavy lifting" of detailing the chrome & touching up stone chips. Removed the rear panel pieces & cleaned behind them, they were absolutely filthy.

Left for Canton at 5:30 am & was in line by 8:15 am. I was asked to be a Judge back at Larz Anderson German Car Day in June. After a final glass cleaning & wipe down. Rags down was at 11 am 

We had a Judges meeting at 10:30 am. I was on Team 3 & we handled the both Late Model & Modern Super Clean Classes, I was the Interior Judge. Some of the newer cars interiors are spectacular! The M4 with the 6-speed was amazing & I gave it 50 out of 50 possible points The dirtiest went to a Z3 Roadster with leaves in the back & didn't appear to be vacuumed very well. These type of BMW CCA Concours are Clean Car Contests.

I entered Vern in Vintage Clean with 12 cars n the class. Mainly because I didn't want to clean the car to be in the Super Clean or Concours  Class.

As the awards were announced at 1:30 pm I was taken by surprise when I heard "First in Vintage Clean is a 1973 2002Tii owned by Andrew Wilson" It was an honor to win as there was some serious competition

After the show several of us went to Trillium Brewing for something refreshing. It was a great way to end the day!
