It comes out, not goes in stupid! LOL and other stuff.

It's been a little while since I updated here....lots has been going on with the car. As with any rebuild/restoration there is a TON of stuff to do.

One of those getting the suspension bits rebult.

Well, here's yet another example of me having all the right intentions and just getting it flat wrong.

I'd been holding off getting the rear trailing arm bearings out until I'd purchased the right tool for the job. In my pea sized brain, I'd got it in my head that this was the way to go and I convinced myself that I'd done it this way before so why not. Take a look at this picture and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

After a good try, and I mean the full 10 tons available to me, I realized something was not right. I walked around the shop, talked to myself a bunch and then after sleeping on it, I pulled out the manual and looked for the drawing regarding the trailing arm bearings. A slap to the forhead and a good bit of hammering later.....

I took care to measure the distances of the internals to make sure I didn't bend anything and then cleaned it all up. They'll be taken to the powder coater.

The wire harness is going really well. Slow and tedious but good. I'm liking the results so far. I'll post pictures once I'm far enough along that you'll be able to see the progress.

Cheers!

Well, it's good to have the press at hand when you get to put them back together.
