Tommy 796 Posted February 14, 2022 So what are the specs for this one? Bore, stroke, rods, CR,... don't have to tell all the secrets but give us something. ? BTW, how much you managed to shave off the weight of the bare block? half a kg? 1 Link to comment
tzei 1,770 Posted February 14, 2022 Ah dimensions… they are so boring ;j well it’s tad under 1800 cc ? I’ll start with weight issue. Bare block, just main bearing caps & bolts on my bathroom scale said 37.5 kg. So something over half a kilo is close. Should weight std block with better scale. Maybe i find some time to do this. Tommy 796 Posted February 15, 2022 Come on, that's just teasing us! You must be using 80mm crank then. Did you consider shorter stroke ratio, like using 2-liter S14 crank? I've thought that as an intriguing option but I have no idea about pros and cons in turbo app. Link to comment
tzei 1,770 Posted February 15, 2022 Confirm. Yea S14B20 crank was my first thougt - have one brand new on a shelf. Maybe i’ll that route someday. So far this concept has worked very well. Link to comment
