The BMWCCA Foundation made a selection of 25 cars back in December 2017. I believe that process is over unfortunately as they have already selected their feature cars.

Guess I should have submitted back then- but I didn't realize they would do two separate periods. I wanted to drive the car to Pittsburgh.

Jim,

At the outset, they perhaps thought that borrowing cars for nine months would be easier than it turned out to be. Nine months is a long time, however, when you’re missing your baby! 😉 Thus, a few of the original cars are rotating out and there’s a small number of new cars replacing them. There will be a second edition of the exhibition book — coming out around November — which incorporates all the entrants.

Best regards,

Steve

Stopped by the museum with my family on Friday.  I told the curator that he needed to hurry and get Tesoro on display.  He didn't know what I was asking.  I told him, "the black one."  Then he asked how I knew of the car. After I told him it was "internet famous" he said that it wasn't quite ready yet.  I will admit to having peeked around the Motorsport flag to admire it though. It looked really good for "not ready."
