My computer is back.  The graphic card died trying to model this lens.  Re-did the prismatic features.  Printed a sample.  Form and fit are good.  However, still need to mess around with print settings for the "clear" printer material.

I spent about a month trying to model this lens.  Mostly because I had no 3D sketching skills and had to learn/discover everything required to model such a thing;  Learned quite a bit.  I think there are a number of these dome lights out there with damaged or missing lens.  The STL model is at Thingiverse.  My small way of paying it forward.

The thin wall may be a problem trying to print it.  I'll look into it.

In the mean time, did this one yesterday.  I increased the wall thickness to give it strength:  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3082340

Wow! I was just kidding but thanks for that! My wife has access to a maker studio that I’ll definitely be taking advantage of. Would love to learn how to do this.

FWIW, LaJolla Independent offers a very nice reproduction of the interior lamp lens. I have one of them.

Thanks for that. I’ll check them out too. My cover literally crumbled when I took it off to clean.

Would be very cool to actually make one though.

Went through a couple of iterations for fit checks.  Had to make some features much thicker to compensate for 3D printing.  Model completed.  File is at Thingiverse.

Excellent! Will you do the 6 fuse version as well? The stock ones are pretty delicate.

Very true.  If you need a model Tsingtao, I have an original unused 6 fuse version.

Thanks Hal.  A beat up cover would be fine.  Do you also have the fuse box itself?  The process is to model, print, fit check and repeat 🙂

Unfortunately, I don't have a spare cover and think I sold my spare 6 fuse block to another FAQ'r.

I have the box and the cover.  The box is missing one of the end mount points which the cover clips under.  Will that still work?  If not, I can pull one from one of our parked early '02s.

Should work.  From the look of it, the damaged right side should be a mirror image of the left side.  Thanks.

That is correct.

Thanks to a very kind faq member (Hal), I received the 6 fuse cover and a bonus hooded Tii clock shroud today.  Of course, I modeled the shroud first.  😁

STL file is up at the usual place.

Modeled, printed, fit checked, uploaded.  Made the walls three times as thick as the original.
