9.5 hours of detailing

Woke up at 5:30 am. Spent 9.5 hours today working on Vern. Cleaned & waxed the rear subframe, half shafts, boots and brake backing plates which still need some attention. Dismantled, cleaned, detailed and reassembled the sunroof rails and Golde wind deflector. Returned the ashtray from an iPod/iPhone dock back to an ash tray, that took at least 3 hours.

Vern looks great....thinking you need to get on the Pirelli CN-36 bandwagon.....Vern would appreciate it.

Most likely when the current tires wear out.

I would scrub that ashtray a little more and spray paint the silver. My car lost points due to a crusty one. Oh the horror!  I loved wiping the brake dust from the front wheels while everyone else was having fun looking at other cars. This is why I am in the display only class next month - the day before the Autocross😏

Should have seen the ashtray before the oven cleaner, steel wool and metal polishing with a tooth brush!

Since Jim piled on, I have to say the paint on those Bilsteins does not match the rest of the car 😁

Bravo Andrew, I know it is an anthropomorphic, however, Vern is smiling deeply and genuinely now.😇

So much attention and love, such careful grooming, don't let Cindy get jealous . I very much look forward to seeing you Vern, and Cindy if she can make it at the Oktoberfest. The TISA Will be left scruffy, I will wash it and check its fluids, which is why we'll be in the display only section. I do look forward to beating the snot out of the racecar. In a concession to 2002 love I put some helicopter tape on the face of the car.

See you soon buddy, best regards Peter

Peter, thank you, as you know, Vern is loved and well cared for. Cindy will be at O'Fest. See you in a little over a week.
