When Vern was having his Maine state inspection on Friday the 20th, Verona stickers for 2018/2019, tech found an oil leak from the rear of the valve cover. VSR's Chris Langsten, called me well after 5:00 on Friday saying he'd heard Vern needed a new valve cover gasket. Asked me to meet him on Sunday as I was passing through on my first leg down Arkansas for the Mid America '02 Fest. He suggested a commuter lot, I suggested his driveway, I arrived at his home at 10:15 am. Chris handed me a cup of coffee and set to work changing the valve cover gasket. After a quick road test at 3K rpm everything looked good. By 11:15 I was on my way.
