Injection Vs Carb advice?

Yep, it's possible, and yep, many have done it.

 

The block may not have the correct mounting points tapped, and you will have to swap the 

oil pan and pump.

Alternately, the top end can swap onto your block, but the pistons are not ideal.  Or may

hit, depending on what your car currently has.

 

There is a lot of information buried in this board- try a search for 'E21 swap' or 'E30 EFI"

It's the candy apple air filter housing that makes it go fast!  Nicer than the black thing that usually sits there.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

 

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

I have seen a stripped (single) DCOE used as a throttle body on a Mini before but never coordinated with mechanical injection.

Bet the linkage is fun to adjust and balance (and by fun I mean excruciating).

Also seen a carb arrangement that used two halves of two DCOE to basically make 2 single barrel carbs. Seemed like a lot of cash to burn to obtain a slightly straighter shot into the inlet port.

One thinks it's not a performance- oriented setup, I agree.

 

I've seen triple IDFs where not all the barrels were connected...
