Bushing replacement - shop recommendations

I'm looking to get new bushings installed in my front suspension subframe/engine carrier and rear trailing arms. I have the bushings, and I have the individual suspension parts off the car (that's important, right?). Know anyone in the Seattle area who can take care of this for me?

You can get them out yourself, in is a little harder (if theyre rubber). To get them out do like my video linked here says. Get a propane torch, heat up the metal sleeve, then push it out. The other two sides pop out.

 

To install, theres a couple articles on here of how to do it. You can also go to someone who does front end work and has a press and they can put them in. Use plenty of lube!

I was able to remove all the bushings without a press by prying or pressing them out. If you get creative, you can do this yourself.

However, the diff hanger had metal sleeved bushings and I didn't want to deal with this myself.

I took them to an old school shop at 145th and 15th NE in Shoreline and they charged me a few bucks to press out the old and press in the new while I waited. If that location is convenient, I can look them up again for a business name.

For the diff hanger bushing, to get it out you use a hack saw and cut through just the metal ring then the bushing can be tapped out easily with a hammer and a punch. Good luck!

You can replace all your bushings with some all-thread, PVC pipe fittings, washers and nuts in an afternoon. Lots of good info in the suspension rehab article here on the faq.
