other 02 Spotted In The Wild!

Passing through Morehead City NC on Sunday I spotted a metallic brown squarelight parked along Highway 70. Current license, looked to be a runner/daily driver and not a restoration.

 

For you California and NW folks who see 02s on the street every day, understand it's a rare sight back east, especially in the rural south.  First one I've seen in my travels that wasn't at a BMW event--or belongs to someone I know in my hometown--in nearly two years!

 

Hope to see a whole parking lot full at Eureka Springs in a couple of days...

Well, I live in CA and I still get excited every time I see one. Even if its the same ones I see everyday. Parked on the same streets I drive down, everyday. I act like I am surprised about it… "Look! Its still there…again!"

I believe I spotted that same car in 2009 or 2010 while driving down to my uncle's funeral in New Bern, NC (just before the Vintage).   It was parked inside a tall fence next to Highway 70.
