tires and wheels 15X7" +27Mm Offset Wheels?

I know the offset is about right, but these may be too darn wide. They are made for the E21 which gives me hope, but that hope may be entirely misplaced. Being new to these cars I was hoping to learn if they have a good chance of fitting with a 205/50R15 tire and if not what interferes? I'd rather not use fender flares, but would be willing to roll the fenders and stretch them a bit.

The wheels should fit fine, however I'd probably go with 195/50s for the tires instead.  I'm fairly certain 205 won't fit under stock fenders, but maybe with some pulling.

I had 15x7.5s et25 (after spacers) with 195/50s on there, and did have to work the fenders a bit to avoid rubbing.  Also the sidewall profile of the tire itself makes a difference.  I had Kuhmos at first with a very square shoulder and they rubbed like hell.  I later switched to Falkens (more rounded) and the rubbing went away.

OK, a 205 tire is a bit wide, got it. 195/55R15 is closer to stock height than a 195/50 and being saddled with 4.10 gears I want to keep as tall a tire as I can.

if you intend to lower the car at all, go with 195/50.  195/55 is taller and will have clearance issues if you lower it a lot.

Guys,  I have 205s on mine.   My rims are a 25 offset (koing mini-lites) with IE stage 1 suspension.  No rubs except at first.  It was the front.  Because the IE suspension sits lower in the front I placed my strut spacer between the wheel well and strut .  End of rub (which happen with bumps and RR tracks)

205 is tight but with some fender rolling it's ok. Still no visible change needed outside.

ET 27 is just perfect for 7" wheel.

the stance thread all over again.  start there to see many combinations to have an idea od what these cars can fit.  still slightly vary.

The problem with the stance thread, and the reason I started this thread, is that I was after information on a specific offset and tire size which was not covered to the extent I desired. I ended up with a +25mm offset 15x7" wheels and 195/55-15 tires. Could I have gone 2mm closer to the tie rod end? Probably. Will this tire fit on a lowered car? Probably not without some minor fender rolling or stretching. There is a picture of my car in the gallery for those interested. My car looked silly at stock ride height on 185/60-13 tires and the speedometer was 7 MPH fast. Now the car looks better and the speedometer is only 2 MPH fast.

I'm using 15x7 et27 on my 75 02. It is lowered and rolling on 195/45-15 with no problem at all.

can i ask you how much you lowered your car by?  looks great by the way...

Also with the wheels i want to get 15x 6 et 29 - will this leave enough room to do a brake upgrade?  Not sure how much room i need to allow for this?

  I'm not sure how much lowered my car is. I'm using ST springs with one loop cut in the front and half a loop cut in the rear, and seating on Bilstein Sports.

With the et29, you will need at least 3-5mm wheel spacer in the front to clear the tie rod joint from rubbing the lip of the wheels.
