  • 1968 Bristol 1600-2 need correct Instrument and bezel color

    Trying to put in correct Tach and paint back to correct color anything that is incorrect. I have done some reading of other threads but still unclear on this.     Uniquely odd flasher issue

    My flasher on the dash went out but both turn signals were working.  I did have a ground issue with the front left signal that fixed by re-setting it in the fender.   During the restoration, the flasher relay was replaced with a 3-prong relay with wires with spades going to the plug.  I went ahead and found what I believe was a NOS item, part # 61 31 1 365 609, from egerman parts selling on eBay.   Plugged it in, Dash flasher is back.  E Flashers work.  Right Turn Signal works.  B

    Window regulator spring replacement?

    One of my least favorite jobs on a 2002 is adjusting the rear brake shoes in order to lessen the brake pedal travel. In principle, it's easy—you just pull off the rear wheels, take a 17mm open-end wrench, put it on each of the two adjusting nuts on the backing plate behind each brake drum, rotate the drum, turn the adjuster until you can hear and feel the shoe rubbing against the drum, back the adjuster off a tiny bit, do the other adjuster, then move to the other side and do the same on the oth

  • Getting closer

    First I measured center line for both chassis. And rear axle line for both. So rear wheel would be in correct position in regards to 02 shell. This was very time consuming. Lowering and alingning 02 on top of E85 floor to see where to cut next. Then winch 02 up to make room to work. Back down again, aling. Repeat. When I got to about 5 cm from touch down I found out that my support cage was getting in way. I had to make cage to outside of 02 chassis and remove tubing from the cockpit. This was a

    First I confirmed rear axle line as this going to match 02 chassis rear axle line. Marked position to chassis and table. This was actually done before last supports was added.   Determided center line for both chassis and rear axle line for 02 chassis. This was very time consuming and frustrating task but I needed to get this right.   Then it was plasma cutter time. What a fancy tool!     Z4 to the table

    Now this took awhile. Dismantling was pretty straight forward. But removing all that factory chassis glue/sound deadning was rough. Well got my neck & arms trained. Btw cars wire loom weights about 50 kg. Some rust spots had begun to developing under plastic panels inside wheel arches but nothing major.   Getting this chassis on the table by self was sweaty task.
