... and, of course, the early 02 mirror was a carry-over from the NK models which also had it mounted on the leading edge of the door. This didn't interfere with the vent window on the 4-door cars because the front edge of the window was farther back from the front edge of the door and the vent window was smaller. The mirror location was moved to behind the vent window on the NK cars sometime in '68 (I think). Does anyone know why the mirror location moved at that time?
