manufacturers in two different styles: one with two screw-in mounting holes, and another with one screw and one stud. The latter was meant for the very early 1600s where the mirror was mounted way forward on the door. The stud actually went through the leading edge of the door sheet metal and was visible with the door opened. Took the factory a year or so to figure out that with the mirror in that position, you couldn'n open the vent window but just a little. Then they moved it rearwards a couple of inches.
