I once dropped a carb float needle valve into the engine/transmission oil filler hole on my daily transportation vehicle - a Honda motorcycle. I hated life right then.

I borrowed one of those 3-prong grabber things from a friend. I "planned" my fishing project, I'd start at the rear left corner of the transmission and quit in an hour and then take the case apart. I still consider it a miracle - I plucked that needle valve out of there on the first try! Beer never tasted so good.
