This process took nearly a year with my 74' 02 since the inception. It was previously painted with BMW color E36 Estoril Blue originally Malagra. Although, this is not full restorations by any means. The 02 somewhat kept most of its originality but tastefully performed some custom work outside the ralm of BMW fanatics, which you will see in the attached pictures.
The list:
Suspensions: Complete Ireland Engineering, including front and rear sway bars, springs, strut, bushings etc.
Engine: Port and polish head, block, new cam, 38/38 Weber carb.
Exhaust: Stahl header, Ansa exhaust
Transmission: 320i five speed Getrag conversion with short shifter
Front and rear shortening bumpers
Replaced all seals, gaskets, headliner, carpets, Re-dyed seats plus many other parts have been replaced.
AC and side moldings are removed
Team Motorsport 15" wheels and Dunlop tires
Custom work includes: Center console, instrument cluster, engine start, door panels, Dynamats doors, rear sides and floorboard.
So how does she drive? Wonderful!!!!!
After having driven 250 miles today, brief cruising speed of 80, 90 and 100 MPH {Sssshhh} were a joy. It is simply fantastic!.
Next steps are to replace the rear drum brakes, larger rotors and calipers for front then re-chrome F/R bumpers.
All engine work were done by German Motorwerks in Winter Springs Florida (The most reputable people i have ever met, who knows BMW inside and out, bar none), others were done my myself and a talented friend.
