in addition, he has a terrific website and decent customer support. It's easy to identify parts and numbers from their website.

Totally agree with you. I always get a call from him after I order to inquire whether I found everything I was looking for and if he can help with anything else. You don't see service like that much anymore.......

Yes, Max is good. I just wish they were closer so I wouldn't have to wait a week for UPS.

I do not agree, I have recieved poor quality parts from Maximilllion importing twice. the first time i ordered front bumper brackets for 1973 2002 when i recieved they wear bent. the second time i ordered you know the rubber fuel filler pocket between the gas tank and the fuel filler port. When I reiceved it, part had a crack in it wear the evap hose fits into. I will not spend my money at maximillion anymore!

Did they rectify the situation?

Armond & company thanks for your kind comments. It really means a lot on a personal level. I am always open to constructive criticism as well to improve our service. Its been a very long road bringing the website to life and glitch free. With the help of BMW it has been a pioneering project filled with many challenges.

As a BMW licensee, the majority of parts we carry are Genuine BMW. With very few exception, the quality is second to none. If you could see what I see as I physically compare "off shore" parts in one hand against the Genuine BMW in the other, it becomes clear what will make the customer happy. Isn't that what it is all about ?

So, I am quite befuddled when I search my Return Authorization records and the customer record (of the only customer in Costa Mesa [name kept private] who has ordered both parts claimed to be defective) and find no evidence of a complaint. Surely had we heard of such a complaint, we would have provided a warranty replacement. I will be sure to contact him to follow up.

Enjoy your weekend. I am off to work on the E30 M3.

Not only are Max's parts great, but Max is genuinely concerned about customer service. That is something that is rare enough anymore.

Keep it up Max. You are doing great.

. I suppose I should direct this straight to you Max.
I tried to use your website for ordering on several occasions, but was denied after the only card that the web page would accept was the "VISA", although other cards are listed for payment.
There is no email address where any one can be contacted and I can only access a phone after 5:30 pm.(mining industry)

Please make your email address available for the general public, it is not on your web page, nor on your 2002faq profile.

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin,

Thanks for the feedback. You can email me directly at max at bimmer com. On our website there is a contact form where you can submit your feedback as well. I was warned by many programmers about putting an direct email address on the site as it would generate a ton of spam. We are open 9:30am til 6:30pm EST M-F. We have found that these hours are the best to serve the US coast to coast.

I am very keen to learn more about the site error you have been experiencing. Please email me directly.

Thanks,
Max

you can use a bit of java script so people can email you direct without spammers/spiders seeing and using your email address. I know nothing about how to do this - my web developer takes all credit. Here's the bit of java script copied from my web site and populated with your email address - send it to your man - hopefully he can do something with it:

<script language="JavaScript">
document.write('' + 'max' + '@' + 'bimmer.com');
</script>

Cheers, Nick

a good friend from this board once told me. Try to support people/vendors who contribute to local 02 events etc.,innovate/renew products and services and make our cars look and run better. 2002 Haus, Maximillian,Ardvaark Racing, Aftermarket Distributing...come to mind.

I've had excellent service and results from the fine folks up in Maryland. I'm lucky to be located really close to the Maryland line so the shipping is fast.

Do they have a "showroom" - or is it just a warehouse type building?

Open house / customer appreciation day???

Too bad I didn't buy my car a few years ago when the prices were more reasonable. It's hard to justify the high trim prices and some of the simple engine gaskets.

I have done business with Max and am quite pleased with the service I received. I also received a courtesy call the following day from Max.
When I ordered a drivers trap. mirror, it took a while to show up, understandable since it was on back-order from the fatherland. For the delay, Max gave me a coupon credit which I used to purchase a mirror for my passenger door.
Thanks max, they look great. Stacy in Portland

Excellent idea. You're bound to draw from PA/VA/MD/DC. But unless you supply fruitcake, the NC group won't be willing to make the trip. Those guys just love their fruitcake.

I have found Max, Jim, Jason and Jeff to be great guys to work with. They are very dedicated and committed to what they are doing. Max has invested a great amount of money in setting up his parts business, BMW as well as Mercedes, and he is in it for the long haul. Whenever there was an issue, they have always rectified it with the same enthusiasm as the initial sale. Returns are handled in an expeditious manner. He has my support.

Please go easy on the Tarheels. My NC grandparents (RIP) loved their fruitcake, eastern NC BBQ and vegetables. Mmmm, I miss going to King's BBQ in Kinston.
