The way it was worded, my husband did this to it, redid this, all new that, etc, maybe a wife trying to get revenge by selling it & he caught the ad ? I thought it looked way to nice for that price & I know nothing about Isetta's.

Must be one of those, "the car is in X state, you have to pay an escrow service," scams

If it's too good to be true on Craigslist, then it's a scam. look at all the flagged ads and you'll see what I mean. The fraudelent craigslist ads will never list a phone #, never show a license plate on the car, etc...

A woman email me. Here is what she said.

I'm really sorry for this late reply but I've been very busy lately and
away from a computer. The car is in excellent running and body
condition, no flaws on it or any other mechanical problems. It has a
clear title and it will be signed and notarized on your name as soon as
the payment will be completed. This was my husband's car who passed away
4 months ago and it only brings me bad memories. I only hope to find a
good home for it and to be taken care of like my husband did. I believe
$3,700 (not negotiable) with all shipping fees anywhere in the
continental US included is more than a fair price.
I will tell you a few words about it. '59 BMW Isetta 300 with an manual
transmission it is in immaculate condition with 67,454 miles, rust free,
no scratch and hasn't been involved in any accident. The engine runs
very well. This is a 1 cylinder car. The interior looks great (never
smoked in). This car needs nothing.
I want this transaction to go smoothly enough as I am caught in the
middle of some very important events and have little time at my
disposal. I already have tons of emails so I hope you understand that I
need to sort them out. I will take in consideration only those buyers
who are really interested in buying the car, to be sure that I don't
waste my time with endless discussions. This way, I shall be assured of
the serious intentions.

If I remember correctly, those pics were from an ebay ad last year. The pics look eerily familiar to an ad I was watching (not 100% sure though). It's impossible to get an Isetta in crappy condition for $3700, so if this is legit, someone's getting a real deal. I would be real careful about sending money though. Maybe fly in and see the car and pay for it then. With a plane ticket and the price of the car, you're still coming out ahead.
