Subject: Megasquirt question

Hey everyone. I'm curious now... Is there anyone running megasquirt with a 316 cam and actually using MAP? I would think that idle would be too "pulsey" to give a reliable vac signal? Do you guys say "stuff the MAP" and run alpha-n instead?

If you were running ITBs it could be a problem but with a regular manifold ( 320 or 318 ) it should be OK.

Not sure, but can you blend alpha N and Map? Map for the higher RPM and Alfa N for idle and low speed.

i don't know if ms can run alpha n i do know other aftermarket boxes that cost more will run on alpha n, they even can program your launch control for like drag racing.

Megasquirt can run Alpha-N. 12 years ago, on my 2002 engine with ITBs I spent a whole week pulling my hair trying to work with MAP. Then went with TPS. Worked great.

My car runs great with with ITB's an MAP sensor, then again I am running a 278 degree cam. MS-II can blend both together if need be.
