I'm game (I think), but do they have valet parking, or are we going to return to find our cars up on blocks? If so, I'm driving the '82 Celica. I could leave that thing unlocked with doors open and the engine running, and no one touch it.
I could always drive Hector the Monster Truck down there. He's too big to put up on blocks. In any event, you are a brave man for stopping anywhere on NY Ave. Is the place closer to the old Woodies warehouse (life-threatening neighborhood), or closer in, past North Capital where Mass Avenue start to come into play (still dangerous - open air drug markets)? I must admit, I've lived here for the vast majority of my life -- and have driven the streets of DC since age 16, including driving the delivery trucks for my Grandfather's lumber yard -- and I can count the number of times when I've stopped on NY Avenue by choice, on one hand -- and I'd still have all five fingers left.
For those not familiar with D.C., the area of which we speak has some of the best, and most commanding views of the U.S. Capital (and the Washington Monument). But, it is also one of the most dangerous parts of the city. A very sad and telling juxtaposition, so much violence, crime, blight, and poverty, so close to the center of government for the rulers of the free world. Alright, I'll stop such social commentary now -- back to the topic at hand. Who wants to jingle all the way to a nudie bar? How about you, Jonathan - I officially taunt and double-dare you, you big chicken!
Nudie bar or bust! (Bad pun intended).
