Subject: Hello from Ireland

Hi all,
New user here
I have a few 02's but i finally bought one that is driving this week for a change :D
my others are a German import Touring and an American imported Auto
this one was imported from England a few years ago and unfortunately was left sitting for a while but i will put her back as she is supposed to be
the only question i have so far is To Arch of Not to Arch?

she has a few spots of rust but nothing terminal

i had a few tasty bits kept from the Touring i brought back from Germany so stuck them on this one for the time being...

ATS Wheels, bought brand new in 1988 and Never used!!

You may want to reconsider those wheels - the offset looks like it will give you some troubles...

Btw: My restoration 02 was once in Ireland :-)

yeah, wheels aren't ideal, i just stuck them on as i had them sitting in the shed, Minilight style ones like yours are on my list

My car has a twin headlight set up that i've never seen before and have rarely seen in pictures
i prefer the normal look though, should i change it or leave as is?

I prefer the single headlight, but the dual headlights was a rare option.

I replied to your thread about the red touring where you said you had a white one...

The twin headlight will just cramp your style. You should just unload them to someone (meaning me) who doesnt care about cramping his style.

I totally agree with the style thing. However, i'd like to point out that it may be difficult to export from Ireland to Canada, and therefore you should ship them to the USA, preferrably my address, instead. I'll even trade for the single-light grilles which will look much, much better.

I'd also like to add i'm full of crap. Thank you.

On a more serious note, you are going to run flares, right?

Well I am having no luck trying to find a decent priced one, and when I checked ebay they are snatched up quickly.

If you plan to use another one, I'll help with a donation and pay for shipping.

What are you thinking about for $$

My family has a house about 40 min South of Galway in Clare. I'm hoping to make it over for WRC this November. Great roads near my parents house! They're in a village called Fanore, in between Lisdoonvarna and Ballyvaughn on the coast. Haven't been there in three years, can't wait to go again...Joe
