Here's the latest pics on my project. The work have been standing still the last month, and will not be started untill another month, because of moving to a new garage. My website http://www.2002turbo.com/ will not be updated until the work starts again. One of the details not yet in my website is this tii intake modified for EFI.
I really like how you did that Tii stub intake.. I have a question, did you weld new material in or just machine out the existing Tii injector holes?
I'm thinking of doing EFI using some old DCOES gutted as throttle bodies, and I want to do something similar to my DCOE manifold...

I Have had trouble finding a bit that will cut aluminum properly.

Single cut carbide burrs work great on aluminum they are available from MSC or McMaster Carr. You can even find them on ebay. _________________ **Formerly known a Cam_A**

Your gonna need some rubber under the bolt/washer behind the shifter. Very nice work! Where is your fuse box? Painless wiring harness?

John
Thanks for noticing, but there is a pretty big rubber suspension hidden in there. The fusebox will be moved into the coupe. I'm going to make a whole new wiring harness, and all the instruments will be renewed. The engine wiring harness is made by a friend of mine who also have made the EFI unit. _________________ -75 02turbo

Hello!
I'm mightly impressed and I have studied your photos closely. Especially those where you modified the fenders to host the turbo arcs. The funny thing is that your car, besides beeing my main inspiration for the moment is made up more or less exactly the way I have been planning to do. I will however go for a megasquirt EFI. Beeing your neighbour (swedish) I'm like you in the middle of the winter so there isn't much work beeing done for the moment. I have though ebayed over an early 320i intake, much like yours and some other things. I'm collecting parts!
You bought some stuff from 02depån I read. You didn't but the turbo spoiler and wheelarcs there? I'm planning to.
My plan is a more or less an exact turbo replica but with EFI, intercooler, knock sensor and lambda. I'm aiming for 4-500Hp if possible.
Did you use the VW pistons? What is the compression height? What is your calculated compression ratio?
Many thanks and ha det bra!!
Hälsningar från sverige! _________________ ehhh, can I have your stuff??
