Subject: So F1's "Knockout" qualifying for next year make y

Read the link in case you don't know the setup. Frankly, all this qualifying experimentation is a waste of time for the fans wanting to see cars on the track. Back in the not-so-old days you'd have an F1 car do 150 laps besides the race on a weekend, with 30-50 laps per session. Qualifying on Friday and Saturday was unlimited laps with every lap being timed. Those were the days . . .

Subject: amen - back then the drivers made the biggest difference

today it's mostly the car
used to be fun to watch, although i still do watch

can am racing in the hey-day of maclaren vs porsche was the best imho
