Thread Topic: Momo Horn button questions Threaded

Subject: Momo Horn button questions

Just bought a used Momo Indy steering wheel, it came with a horn button. The hole in the wheel & hub I have is just over 2 1/8" or about 55 mm. It seems like the horn button is designed to fit in a 49 mm or so hole. What am I missing?

Subject: Some info

Momo horn buttons are 52mm in diameter. Most Momo wheels have indeed a 55mm center hole. Momo wheels/hubs ususally come with some kind of metal round adapter to make-up for the difference in diameter, it has a 52mm ring/center and 6 holes drilled in the back. It goes infrom the back of the steering wheel.

Do you know of any source for this?

Some steering wheels are 52mm, some are 55mm. I have a spare one on a wooden steering wheel, but I will see if I have another one.

Also need to put the horn plunger in, but I've got some ideas on that. Haven't decided if I should cut the turn signal tab off or just remove the stamped steel one that's already on the column.

The wheel only took 4 days to ship from Japan to me, pretty amazing. He's got some other interesting wheels on there at the moment, too.
